The educational event based on the Rigas Charter and entitled ‘Whoever thinks freely, thinks well’ was successfully held at the Archaeological Museum of Andros, on Friday 11.10.2024. This was organized by the Ephorate of Antiquities of the Cyclades with the kind support of the Municipality of Andros.
Special thanks are due to the Deputy Mayor Sp. Tsaousis, to Ioanna Stefani and Artemis Kambouraki, conservators of the Byzantine and Christian Museum, who spoke about the conservation of the Rigas Charter, and to Angelos Giakoumatos and Vasiliki Fati, creators of the exhibition dioramas with playmobil, which frames the educational action. The exhibition also presents a copy of the Olympus Calendar and weapons of Theophilos Kairis, generously provided to us by Mrs. Irini Evanthia Kairi-Giannoulopoulou, whom we thank warmly.
The implementation of the educational action will begin in October 2024 with the participation of schools from Andros; it is possible to schedule visits and schools from outside the island, upon agreement.
